Terms of Service
Last updated: December 27, 2025
1. What This Means
By using Gigvis, you're agreeing to these terms. Think of it as the ground rules for how we work together. If you don't agree with something here, that's okay - but unfortunately, you won't be able to use the Service.
2. What Gigvis Is
Gigvis is a social calendar app for organizing gigs, concerts, and festivals with your friends and groups. You can create events, share them with your crew, and keep track of who's going to what. It's all about making it easier to plan nights out together.
3. Your Account
You need to be at least 16 years old to use Gigvis. When you create an account, you're telling us you meet that requirement.
You're responsible for keeping your account secure. That means don't share your password, and let us know if you think someone else is using your account. You're also responsible for anything that happens under your account, so keep it safe.
4. Subscriptions
Free vs. PRO
We offer two tiers:
- Free: You can create 1 group with up to 10 members, and join 1 PRO group for free. Perfect for trying things out.
- PRO: Unlimited groups, unlimited members, plus extra features like customizing your group's look. Great if you're organizing multiple crews or larger groups.
How Billing Works
PRO subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. When you subscribe, you're agreeing to pay the price shown at checkout. We charge you upfront for the billing period you choose.
Auto-Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it. We'll charge you the current price when it renews. Don't worry - you can cancel anytime, and we'll remind you before renewal.
Cancelling
You can cancel your subscription anytime through your account settings. When you cancel, you'll keep access to PRO features until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. After that, you'll move to the free tier, but all your data stays intact.
5. Refunds
We want you to be happy with Gigvis PRO. If you're not, you can get a full refund within 14 days of your first purchase - no questions asked. This works for both monthly and yearly subscriptions.
The best part? You can request a refund right through your account settings. It's automatic, so you don't need to email us or explain anything. Just click a button and you're done.
After 14 days, we'll still consider refunds on a case-by-case basis. Just reach out to us at info@gigvis.com and we'll work something out.
Refunds go back to your original payment method and usually show up within 5-10 business days.
6. Ticket Links (Future Feature)
Right now, we don't sell tickets directly. But in the future, we might add links to ticket vendors like Ticketmaster. If you buy tickets through those links, we might get a small commission from the vendor. Don't worry - this doesn't change the price you pay for tickets at all.
When we add ticket links, we'll make it super clear that they're affiliate links. We're not responsible for what happens on those third-party sites - that's between you and the ticket vendor.
7. Your Content
You own the content you create - like private events you add, your personal notes, and your profile bio. However, events themselves are shared resources. If you add a show that someone else already added, you're both referencing the same event. Think of it like Wikipedia - the article exists independently, but you can add your own notes to it.
By posting content, you're giving us permission to use it to run Gigvis. We're not going to sell your notes or anything like that - we just need to be able to show your content to you and the people you share it with.
Here's the important part: you're responsible for what you post. Please don't post anything that:
- Is illegal or breaks any laws
- Harasses or bullies other people - we want Gigvis to be a friendly place
- Defames someone (spreading false information that hurts their reputation)
- Is problematic political content that could get us in legal trouble or incite violence
- Is obscene or excessively profane in a way that could create legal issues for us
- Infringes on someone else's copyright, privacy, or other rights
We reserve the right to remove content that breaks these rules or that we think could cause problems. If you repeatedly violate these terms, we might need to suspend or close your account. We'd rather not do that, so please play nice.
8. Things You Can't Do
Please don't use Gigvis to:
- Break any laws
- Steal or copy other people's intellectual property
- Spread viruses, malware, or other harmful software
- Try to hack into our systems or other people's accounts
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Use bots or automated systems to access Gigvis without permission
Basically, use common sense and be respectful. If you wouldn't do it in person, don't do it on Gigvis.
9. Our Intellectual Property
Gigvis itself - the app, the design, the features - is ours. It's protected by copyright and trademark laws. You can use it, but you can't copy it, reverse engineer it, or try to build your own version based on our code.
10. No Guarantees
We do our best to keep Gigvis running smoothly, but we can't promise it'll be perfect all the time. The Service is provided "as is" - we don't guarantee it'll be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We're human, and sometimes things break. When they do, we'll fix them as quickly as we can.
11. Our Liability
To the extent allowed by law, we're not responsible for indirect damages - things like lost profits, lost data, or other consequences that happen because you used Gigvis. We're a small operation, and we can't be liable for everything that might go wrong.
That said, if we mess up in a way that directly causes you harm, we'll take responsibility for it. We're not trying to dodge accountability - we just need to set reasonable limits.
12. We Might Change These Terms
We might update these terms from time to time as Gigvis grows and changes. If we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using Gigvis after we update the terms, that means you're okay with the changes.
13. Account Termination
We really hope we never have to do this, but we might suspend or close your account if you break these terms or do something that harms Gigvis or other users. If that happens, you'll lose access immediately.
If you want to delete your account yourself, you can do that anytime through your account settings. We'll delete your personal information, except where we're legally required to keep it.
14. Legal Stuff
These terms are governed by Australian law. If there's ever a dispute (which we hope there won't be), it'll be handled in Australian courts.
15. Questions?
If you have any questions about these terms, just reach out to us at info@gigvis.com. We're here to help.
